Girls Celebrate Mitzvos Mastery with Uplifting Weekend

200 girls who had mastered Sefer Hamitzvos joined together for an incredible Shabbaton, which included exciting trips and uplifting activities. At an exciting game show, they received plaques for their achievement of learning all 613 mitzvos.

On Wednesday, 19 Adar, 200 girls joined together in the Jewish Children’s Museum for the Orientation and start of the Kol Hatorah Kulah Ultimate Experience 5785!

As the girls came in they were welcomed by this year’s incredible team of staff! Each girl received a welcome package and their ID tags. The atmosphere was set for the fun filled and meaningful trip that was ahead of them!

Thursday morning started with davening in the JCM. The girls loaded coach buses and headed off to Boro Park, where they ate breakfast, watched the regional game show and participated in the Kol Hatorah Kula (KHK) game show, which was broadcast for live viewing. The girls received plaques for their unbelievable achievement of learning KHK—all 613 mitzvos!

After a pizza lunch, the trips began. The girls enjoyed hours of fun, first at Altitude Trampoline Park, followed by American Dream Water Park, and focused time for mincha and chitas. A delicious dinner of hot dogs and burgers was enjoyed, and the buses brought the group back to Crown Heights for a quick night of sleep.

What a packed day of fun! But this was just the beginning…

Friday opened with another chayusdik morning davening and lavish breakfast at the JCM. Open-air buses (a highlight for many!) then brought the girls to Fun Fest Bowling Center. What a lovely surprise when an ice cream truck awaited the girls, as they reloaded the open-air buses back to Crown Heights!

The girls enjoyed lunch back at the JCM, before being treated to an energizing session of Kangoo Jumping with Fun N’ Fit workouts. Mincha and chitas time followed, and then the girls were off to prepare for Shabbos.

After breakfast on Shabbos morning, the girls gathered for davening in 770’s Kingston Shul. Rabbi Weinbaum then spoke to the girls about the unique and important opportunity of going into the Rebbe’s room, before the girls were privileged to enter in small groups.

Empowered and united, the girls walked together to Razag for seudas Shabbos; a delicious lunch filled with inspiring Divrei Torah, stories, and singing. A farbrengen with Rabbi Weinbaum followed, and then bunk games, Mincha and chitas.

Shalosh Seudos was poke bowls—a big hit for the group. The schedule continued with representative  bunks presenting the skits they made, incorporating the 613 mitzvos. They were judged on the depth of creativity and amount of mitzvos portrayed. Mazel tov to the winner, Bunk 1! Each bunk member was awarded with a framed Rebbe picture at the Sunday banquet.

Seder Niggunim was a moving experience and the girls joined together to sing until Shabbos was over. After Havdala, veyiten lecha was said in partners. The girls then wrote beautiful, personal letters to Mr George Rohr to thank him for making the whole program possible.

As Yossi Cohen played slow niggunim, the girls were able to focus on writing paanim as a preparation for going to the ohel the following morning. As the girls finished they all sat together for a kumzitz singing songs together.

For Melava Malka the girls enjoyed pizza and a delicious salad bar. They continued to enjoy the  upbeat niggunim as they danced the rest of the night away!

Sunday Morning the girls came back for the final day of the Kol Hatorah Kulah Experience! They began with davening in the lower level of the JCM. As each bunk was dismissed the girls had water and chocolate milk waiting for them on their way to the buses.

The girls had a chance to spend a few minutes inside the Ohel, and then by the Rebbetzin. After washing negel vasser, each girl recieved a cheese danish before loading the bus back to Crown Heights.

Right before arriving at the banquet, the girls made a quick stop by the Rebbe’s house where they had a chance to say some tehillim.

As the Girls entered the Roza Hall at Beis Rivka Lefferts, the atmosphere was tangible! The chidon sign up in the hallway, the balloons, each table set with chidon tablecloth, and the delicious buffet of pastas and salads, all added so much!

After the girls ate, the program began! Many girls were called up to lead the chidon in the 12 pessukim. The energy was blasting! Next, they watched a recap video of the entire chidon experience, including testimonials from some of the girls!

As the girls enjoyed ice cream and brownie for dessert, the staff were thanked for all they put in to make Chidon a smashing success!

Rabbi Weinbaum encouraged the girls to go to the 3rd graders in their school, and encourage them to join Chidon and to be in KHK in just 5 years time!

The Chidon song blasted in the hall as the girls said goodbye to all the friends they met over the trip!

After the girls left, the staff had their own banquet where they each received a gift of thanks for their dedication and commitment!

A special thank you goes to Rabbi Shimmy and Zelda Weinbaum and family for their devotion and endless support to ensuring that Chidon continues to grow and reach every child!
