Forty Years New: A Year of Restored Audio
The audio recordings of the Rebbe from the year 5746, exactly forty years ago, are now online and available in beautifully restored quality.
As Yud Shevat approaches, chasidim around the world are studying the Ma’amar Basi L’gani 5746, corresponding to this year’s perek of the Ma’amar. In honor of the upcoming day marking 76 years of the Rebbe’s leadership, JEM’s Ashreinu.app is pleased to announce the restoration of another entire year of audio of the Rebbe.
All audio from the year 5746—forty years ago—has recently been restored and is now available online in beautiful quality at Ashreinu.app, joining many additional years of fully restored recordings.

The restoration was created using original reels from the WLCC collection in the JEM Archives, supplemented where necessary by additional sources to fill gaps. In preparation for publication, the audio was edited by the Ashreinu team of Rabbis Shneur Itzinger and Berel Grossbaum.
The result is the most complete and clearest audio presentation to date of the events from this year. These recordings include farbrengens and sichos, as well as Kos Shel Bracha, tefillos, and various other gatherings in 770. All audio is presented in sharp quality, and in several cases, additional content within events was discovered and published for the first time.

Like many events on Ashreinu, this farbrengen includes Hebrew summaries provided by Vaad Hanachos B’Lahak, concise English summaries of each sicha, and Yiddish transcripts.
