A pair of candlesticks, given by Rebbetzin Chaya Mushka to Mrs. Mera Galperin are being auctioned off by the Dynasty Auction House.

Candlesticks that were used by Rebbetzin Chaya Mushka are set to go on auction by the Dynasty Stage for Collectors.
The candlesticks come from the family of Mrs. Mera Galperin, a close friend of the Rebbetzin and cook at Machon Chana for many years. The Rebbe once told Mrs. Galperin that she was the “Mama of Machon Chana.”
Mrs. Galperin was born in Belarus, as was Rebbetzin Chaya Mushka, and the two began a friendship that would last for decades. During World War II, the Rebbe and Rebbetzin emigrated to the USA, whilst Mrs. Galperin remained in Europe and survived the holocaust with great miracles.
After years of being trapped in Siberia and Tashkent, Mrs. Galperin arrived in Crown Heights in 1971, with almost nothing to her name. Rebbetzin Chaya Mushka took her to the Frierdiker Rebbe’s apartment in 770 and gave Mrs. Galperin personal items to set herself up, including these candlesticks.
The auction will take place on Wednesday, January 22, 2020 at 6 PM (Israel time) with a starting price of $10,000.
