International shochet Rabbi Eliyahu Ezagui from Crown Heights travelled to help with the shechita. Dozens of cattle and hundreds of chickens were shechted, kashered and packaged, ready to be purchased by Ecuador’s kosher consumers.
In the dairy department, thousands of liters of shelf stable Cholov Yisroel milk and hundreds of kilos of kosher cheese were produced.
These milk and meat products will provide the local community and tourists with Kosher l’Mehadrin food basics to enjoy for months to come.
In between kosher runs, Rabbi Ezagui took some time to visit a unique park located two blocks away from the local Shul.
The Jerusalem park features a 1:150 replica of Yerushalyaim during the time of Bayis Sheini, a large menorah and bronze plates featuring important events in Yerushlayim’s history such as the Akeida, Dovid HaMelech conquering Yerushlaim, both Battei Mikdash and more. Quotes from Tanach and Chazal about Yerushalayim can be found around the park.
The park was designed by Johnny Czarninski and donated to the city of Guayaquil by the Czarninski Shefi family.
