As Chassidim worldwide are preparing to celebrate 28 Sivan, A Chassidisher Derher is initiating a special WhatsApp series with short messages, with interesting tidbits of information regarding the story and meaning of this yom tov.
“My father-in-law, the Rebbe, arrived here on 9 Adar 5700,” the Rebbe once explained, “but many of his Chassidim arrived later. — I came here (with my family) on 28 Sivan 5701.”
The Chabad world is abuzz with preparations for the great and momentous date of Chof-Ches Sivan, which this year will mark 80 years since the Rebbe and Rebbetzin arrived on the shores of the United States, escaping the horrors of the Holocaust and starting a new chapter of hafatzas hamaayanos, the last stop on the way to the geula.
In honor of this milestone, A Chassidisher Derher will commence a series of daily WhatsApp messages with interesting tidbits of information regarding the story and meaning of this yom tov.
