The gabboim of 770’s main shul and CTeen have announced that the entire main shul of 770, along with the Kingston women’s shul, will be reserved for the visiting CTeens this Friday night.
Set to be the largest ever, with 3,000 Jewish teens expected to attend from 30 different countries, the Shabbaton will bring together young Jews from all walks of life to celebrate their Jewish identity in this Hakhel year.
A highlight of the Shabbaton is when the teens come to 770 to spend some time learning with the bochurim and davening in unison in a minyan unlike any other.
With a record number of teens this year, the entire main shul of 770 is needed to give every teen the chance to enjoy this unforgettable experience.
“With thousands of teens arriving, the entire area from the pillars in the East of the shul all the way to the West of the shul, as well as under the women’s section, and the entire Kingston women’s section, will be reserved,” the gabboim said in a statement sent to Anash.org.
“Everyone will undoubtedly assist in welcoming the guests by giving up their place at the minyan just for this Friday night,” they said.
The upstairs floor, including the small zal and the Rebbe’s room will also be closed from 4:15 until 6:00 to allow the teens to pass through and daven in the Rebbe’s room. The cheder sheni will remain open, with access through the door under the Rebbe’s room.
At 6:00, the floor will be reopened, and the regular shiur Chassidus and minyonim will commence.
A wonderful thing to see so many teens visiting CH and davening in 770.
Please G-d very soon a much bigger expanded 770 will welcome them in addition to the regular crowd in greater comfort and complete safety.
