A man in Crown Heights was arrested after repeat shoplifting from the local grocery store, Kosher Town. Shomrim was called to respond and was able to de-escalate the situation and secure the scene until NYPD arrived.
A man in Crown Heights was arrested after repeat shoplifting from the local grocery store, Kosher Town. The perp, identified as a black male, made a habit of shoplifting from the Kosher store over the few weeks prior, sometimes stealing expensive items such as cleaning products and detergents.
After several repeat encounters, the store owner, working with Crown Heights Shomrim prepared to catch the perpetrator. Once the man entered the store, the owner called Crown Heights Shomrim who had volunteers on the scene within the minute.
Shomrim was able to de-escalate the situation and secure the scene until NYPD arrived. The perpetrator was arrested by NYPD and escorted off the premises.
