Last year, the MyMaor Writing Contest took the Chabad world by storm. What started as a simple call for creativity resulted in nearly 200 submissions from Kinderlach across the globe. The excitement was palpable as families and communities cast over 12,000 votes, crowning the Schtroks Family from Argentina as the grand winners. Their script was transformed into a professional, fully animated MyMaor episode watched by thousands.

Now, MyMaor is thrilled to launch the 2nd Annual Script Writing Contest!

A Special Year, A Special Theme

This year marks 50 years since the Rebbe introduced the 12 Pesukim. To celebrate this milestone, this year’s contest theme is dedicated entirely to these powerful verses. Writers will choose from three selected Pesukim, brainstorm a creative story that brings the Pasuk to life, and develop it into a full script.

New & Improved for 5786

Based on the massive success of last year, the MyMaor team has revamped the contest to make it even more exciting and fair. As revealed in the launch video by Dovi, Brillin, and Wump, there are some big changes:

1. New Voting System: The pressure is on! Voting is now split into two stages. First, Crowd Voting will take place over one week. Only the top 50% of videos will move on to the next round.
2. Judges Panel: The finalists will then be reviewed by a panel of MyMaor judges who will score submissions based on quality, effort, and creativity.
3. Prizes for Everyone: In a massive upgrade from last year, every single team that submits a complete script and video will receive a special, personalized MyMaor prize. No one goes home empty-handed!

The Grand Prize

The stakes are high! The winning writer (or team of writers) will have their script produced as a REAL MyMaor episode, complete with professional voiceovers, sound design, and animation by the Maor team.
