For the fifth consecutive year, a remarkable Smicha celebration was held at the Beis Midrash of Colel Ohel Yosef Moshe in Buenos Aires, Argentina last Tuesday night.
Directed by Rabbi Mendy Raijer, this Smicha Program stands out in guiding students throughout the program in a personal way, teaching classes in Spanish and providing a pleasant and flexible climate to make students feel comfortable.
Among the Rabbonim were present the Shliach HaRoshi in Argentina Rabbi Tzvi Grunblatt, the Rav Hamasmich and Moreh Horaah in Kehilas Chabad Argentina Rabbi Efraim Halperin, and Reb Yechiel Frenkel, Shliach and Director of Beis Chabad Etz Hajaim, Villa Crespo, Buenos Aires.
The Rabbonim highlighted the hard work of the musmachim, and their achievement in successfully attaining Semicha. They encouraged the bochurim to use the knowledge and wisdom gained in learning Semicha to empower them in all their future life achievements. A special thanks was extended to the project sponsor Reb Chaim Lapidus and his entire family, as well as to Rabbi Sholom Boruch Lapidus, Director of the Colel Ohel Yosef Moshe.
The Smicha graduates are Hatomim Michoel Abraham (Johannesburg, South Africa), Hatomim Dovid Boitner (S. Paulo, Brazil) and Hatomim Leivi Yitzchok Frenkel (Buenos Aires).
A special recognition was given to Reb Jaim Dobri, one of the regular assistants of the Beis Midrash, who gave himself to study (like any other young Bochur) and took the entire Hilchos Shabbos exam with great success. An example to follow.
