Boys Have a Blast at Winter Camp

After spending 10 days together in the Tzeirei Hashluchim Winter Camp by the Shluchim Office, over 150 Young Shluchim returned home uplifted and inspired after an amazing camp experience.

Young Shluchim spread across the world eagerly await and treasure opportunities to spend time and connect with other Shluchim like them. This year especially, the boys who joined camp were so excited to spend 10 days with their friends in an incredible camp environment, taking in every moment. Throughout the camp experience, the campers soaked up the Chayus and inspiration, returning to their Shlichus with renewed energies.

“Thank you so very much for an incredible experience for our boys, our son Chezy came home so happy,” shared Mrs. Mimi Feldman, Shlucha to Bend, Oregon. “I am blown away by every detail that was thought of. Everything was so organized and communication to the parents was so well done. Thank you so very much!”

The campers had a blast enjoying a packed program including ziplining, boating, sports, and swimming in the Florida sunshine. Through the beautiful programs and learning opportunities, the Young Shluchim were inspired and motivated in all aspects of their Shlichus.

A highlight of this year’s camp program was a special Bar Mitzvah celebration, honoring all the Bar Mitzvah boys in camp whose celebrations were limited due to Covid. The Young Shluchim were treated to a beautiful event at a gorgeous hall, watching special presentations, hearing from their friends and enjoying gourmet food. The boys sang and danced to live music with their friends and fellow Shluchim, led by star singer Eli Marcus.

“My Bar Mitzvah was right at the beginning of Covid and everything was canceled,” shared one Bar Mitzvah boy after the program. “This was the most amazing gift someone could have given me, to finally get to celebrate my Bar Mitzvah in style – here at camp with all my friends.”

“Thank you to the amazing staff for a most incredible and invigorating experience for my boys, it was everything and more especially during this time,” wrote Mrs. Chanie Yarmush, Shlucha to Wesley Chapel, Florida. “My boys had such a meaningful and memorable experience, I want to add a special thank you for all the hard work and effort put into making the beautiful Bar Mitzvah which was executed to perfection, tremendous Hakaras Hatov!”

“With the challenges that came along with opening camp this year, Boruch Hashem it was an incredible success,” shared Berel Bendet, director of the camp. “The Young Shluchim soaked in every minute of friendship, fun and chassidishkeit, going home with renewed excitement and energy in their Shlichus and connection to the Rebbe.”
