Everything needs to be expressed primarily in action, as only then does it prove that it is significant on an innermost level. Koheles seems to be a philosophical discussion, negating the physical world and action in general. Nevertheless, the concluding verse of it is: “Fear G-d and observe His commandments, for this is the whole purpose of man.”
כל דבר צריך להתבטא בעיקר במעשה, שרק אז ראי’ וסימן
שהדבר נוגע בפנימיות. ואופייני הוא וכל ספר קהלת לכאורה
שקלא וטריא פילוסופית שענינה, בהשקפה ראשונה, שלילת
עולם המעשה והעשי’, אף על פי כן המסקנא והחתימה היא – את
