5,500 Mark 19 Kislev at Cirque Phénix in Paris

A crowd of 5,500 filled Cirque Phénix in Paris for a sweeping Yud-Tes Kislev celebration for Anash and mekuravim, featuring addresses from leading rabbonim and public figures, stirring music, and a large Chassidus book fair.

Approximately 5,500 people gathered for a massive Yud-Tes Kislev celebration held at Cirque Phénix in the 12th arrondissement of Paris. The diverse crowd included students from Yeshivas Brunoy and Seminaire Beis Rivkah, alongside mekuravim, Anash, and shluchim from across Paris and the Île-de-France region.

The event was attended by prominent public figures and rabbonim, including the Chief Rabbi of Paris, Rabbi Michel Gugenheim, and former Member of Parliament Meyer Habib. The gathering was led by the Rebbe’s shliach to Paris and the region, Rabbi Mendel Azimov.

The evening was emceed by Rabbi Mendel Lashkar, featuring musical accompaniment by the Yossef Bramy Orchestra and performances by singers Mendy Gabay and Shmil. The guest of honor was Rabbi Binyamin Bitton of Vancouver, Canada.

During the event, a new educational initiative, encouraged by Rabbi Shmuel Lubecki, was presented, focusing on organizing group visits to the Rebbe’s home. A large book fair was held on-site, highlighting the release of the new volume Life Lessons on the Tzivos Hashem Tanya.

Participants enjoyed light refreshments and sandwiches, while dozens of buses arrived from across the Greater Paris area, ensuring that the wider public could take part in the festivities.
