Over 500 women gathered for a heartwarming morning of inspiration at the third Women of Iron Unite event: Tea on Modesty. The atmosphere was filled with beautiful decor, delicious pastries, and a powerful message that left everyone touched.
The focus, in honor of Rebbetzin Chaya Mushka‘s Birthday, was on Tznius, shared in a way that was deeply relatable. Inspired by the verse “Vehaya Mechanecha Kadosh,” we were reminded that our homes are our sacred spaces, and it’s a privilege to keep them holy.
Our MC, Mrs. Simcha Minkowitz, warmly welcomed everyone, and Mrs. Leah Rosenfeld shared a powerful message. She reminded us that as Lubavitchers and Chassidim, our greatest treasures are our connection to Hashem and the Rebbe. We shouldn’t be distracted by the fleeting values of today’s world but should cherish the beauty of what we have.
Chana, a former C-Teen girl turned ba’alas teshuvah, shared how Tznius became the easiest mitzvah for her to embrace. She had lived in a world that didn’t value modesty, and for her, Tznius became the real treasure.
One of the most moving moments came when Charlene Aminoff courageously shared how Tznius saved her daughter’s life. Her heartfelt words, “Don’t stress yourself, stretch yourself, give Hashem a little more,” resonated with everyone. We laughed, we cried, and we wished her a speedy and complete recovery. Charlene was deeply touched when an anonymous donor gave her a Rebbe Dollar to carry with her on her healing journey.
Leah Minkowitz offered practical advice on how to express personal style while staying true to modesty, reminding us that simple, classy fashion often aligns with modesty.
Malky Laine and Chaya Mushka Goldstein’s beautiful melodies filled the room with inspiration, celebrating the strength and beauty of women.
A truly heartfelt moment came when we honored one of our founders, Rivky Perl, whose sons recently joined the IDF and US Marines. She recited Tehilim in their honor, wishing them success and safety.
Since the launch of “Tznius, Take it Back, It’s Yours,” close to 1,500 women, worldwide, have taken on new commitments to modesty. The grand raffle featured incredible prizes, including a Rebbe Coin, Dina Stern wig, and a designer bag. As the women left, they carried a renewed commitment to Tznius and the hope of bringing Moshiach closer.
A heartfelt thank you to Keren Hachomesh, the organization founded by the Rebbe in honor of the Rebbetzin. We couldn’t have done this without them, it was a gorgeous tribute to Rebbetzin Chaya Mushka!
Special thanks to Barry from Buncho Bagels for the delicious spread and to Chanie Greenbaum for the stunning floral arrangements.
The feedback has been overwhelmingly positive, and Rivky Perl shared, “The packed room reminded us why our Tznius campaign is so powerful and relevant. This event has shown us that with Hashem’s help and our Rebbe’s brochos, this is exactly what Crown Heights needs right now. We are strong leaders, and by stepping up in Tznius, we are protecting ourselves, our families, our community and our brothers and sisters in Eretz Yisroel. There’s no doubt that we will merit the arrival of Moshiach, now.”
Ruthie Sperlin reflected, “When we started this movement to upgrade mainstream Tznius, we never imagined how much of an impact we could have. It’s only with the Rebbe’s blessings and Hashem’s help that we’ve seen so many women feeling elevated and inspired.”
