Yoel Dovid Lenau, a 9-year-old boy whose family are shluchim in Ukraine and are visiting Yerushalayim, was tragically killed by a cement truck on Wednesday on his way home from school.
The boy who was killed was on his way home from school together with his older sister when he crossed the road and was hit by a concrete mixer that he did not notice. The sister was not hurt.
Yoel Dovid is the son of Rabbi Daniel and Nechama Lenau, who serve as shluchim to Eastern Kiev.
After the Russian invasion of Ukraine, the family was forced to relocate to Yerushalayim. The young boy was sent to Toras Emes Talmud Torah in Yerushalayim.
The levaya is expected to take place tonight with the kevura following in the Chabad section on Har Hazeisim.
