The adventures continued during the last few weeks at Yeshivas Kayitz Panama, with bochurim enjoying hanging bridges hike, zip lining, two extreme hikes with amazing waterfalls and views, and a two-level-natural pool called Jawakta, with cliffs that jump into them.

The last Shabbos (Nachamu) of the program was celebrated with zest and joy, sharing with tourists and local residents. For a grand finale, a BBQ surrounded by cozy fog, typical of Panama’s highlands, ended the Boquete experience.

The next morning, YKP flew to Panama City for three more days.

First was a visit to the old city. Colorful and picturesque, bochurim saw artisan souvenirs and beautiful views of the canal and Panama City’s amazing skyline. Then, a visit to the Causeway, part of the old American controlled zone, where bochurim did bicycles, scooters and ATVs.

A great day in the Caribbean Beach of Portobello followed. It included horseback riding, volleyball and a visit to the ruins of a Spanish fort laden with cannons, back-dropped by beautiful sunset.

Finally, Bochurim visited the Panama Canal (the locks in Colon) and monkey sightseeing. All the while, YKP got to know the colorful Jewish community in Panama City.
