It’s dark and cold and you know you want to celebrate!
Come out and join the fabulous ladies of the Crown Heights Women’s Circle for our 9th annual Melava Malka. The event marks almost a decade of classes and programming for hundreds of Crown Heights women.
This year’s dinner will feature “Conversations with my Mother,” a frank discussion between mother-daughter duo Mrs. Esther Sternberg and Mrs. Rivkah Slonim. The pair will explore life in Crown Heights and on shlichus, motherhood, overcoming challenges, and personal growth. Of course, they’ll throw in some really good stories too. And you can have front row seats!
Mrs. Esther Sternberg is the director of the Neshek Campaign and a noted educator and mashpiah in Crown Heights. For many years, she stood near the “dollars line” helping guide the women who passed by the Rebbe. Mrs. Sternberg is beloved by generations of students who are inspired by her close connection with the Rebbe and Rebbetzin. Her daughter, Mrs. Rivkah Slonim, is a shlucha at Binghamton University and a noted author and lecturer. She also serves on the Editorial Board of the Rohr Jewish Learning Institute.
The Women’s Circle is proud to present this duo on stage for the first time ever!
The evening will open with a riveting performance showcasing the Tambourines Academy, a singing and dancing school where girls develop their talents in a chassidishe environment. Through weekly practice with professional instructors and seasonal performances, the girls gain skills and confidence. Tambourines Academy is excited to collaborate with the Women’s Circle for this original performance.
For fun and inspiration and a heaping plate of really good food, head over to the Women’s Circle’s annual Melava Malka.
