After he miraculously found a $550,000 property befitting for his Chabad House in the expensive Bel Air, California, Rabbi Chaim Mentz desperately needed money. He scraped up enough donations for the down payment. However, he still had to pay the mortgage and construction, and he had nothing.

When his last resort dissipated after an unexpected turn of events, he had no other choice but to fly to New York to pray at the Lubavitcher Rebbe’s Ohel. “Rebbe, you have to help me out here,” he cried. “I’m looking at massive debt!” From there, he let divine providence take its course.
