The Rebbe leads the Mincha services in honor of his mother’s Yahrzeit. Following the afternoon and evening services, the Rebbe speaks about his mother’s greatness, highlighting the sacrifices she made alongside her husband, Rabbi Levi Yitzchak Schneerson, in the fight to preserve Judaism in Soviet Russia.
The Rebbe distributes copies of his letter to Chassidim in honor of the new year, a discourse delivered by the Tzemach Tzedek, and a piece of honey cake for a sweet year together with a dollar for charity.
