The following issues are discussed by Rabbi Raskin in this week’s episode:

1. The brocho upon seeing blossoming trees, why only in the month of Nisan? [1]
2. I was clearing out Grandma’s apartment and offered the old furniture for sale. A non-Jew put down cash for a sideboard, to be collected the following week. Meanwhile, one of the grandchildren woke up and is adamant to have that piece of furniture for himself. May I retract from the sale? [2]
3. I sell disposables to Chabad Houses around Europe. Due to the devaluation of the Euro vs the UK pound, delayed payment (in Euros) has meant a significant loss of income for myself. What may I do to incentivize prompt payment? [3]
4. Twin Bar-Mitzva boys that are Kohanim. We wish to call them up to the Torah on a Monday or Thursday. How do we go about it? [4]
5. In many Shuls, one who missed Borchu earlier, will announce Borchu at the end of davening. This isn’t seen regularly in Chabad. What’s in it? [5]
6. I say Kaddish for several niftorim. If I’m running late and I’m holding at Pesukei deZimra when the Minyan is up to Kaddish Yosoim, may I interrupt my davening in order to say Kaddish? [6]
7. I bought an avocado salad which contained a sprinkling of croutons. Which brocho should be said on the croutons? [7]
8. A salad of tomatoes and cucumbers etc., plus cubed avocado. Does one say the brocho בורא פרי העץ on the avocado? [8]
9. Should we schedule Mincha after sunset, so it’s easier to hold the people for Maariv after nightfall; or should Mincha finish by sunset, and Maariv will before nightfall? [9]
10. How does one understand the repetitions of אמן ואמן or אמן סלה?

[2]  מחלוקת הנו”כ בשו”ע חו”מ סי’ קצד אם נכרי הקונה מטלטלין מישראל קונה בכסף או במשיכה. בפתחי חושן (קנינים פי”ב ס”ו) הביא כל הדיעות, ובהע’ יא נראה דהעיקר כר”ת שאינו קונה במעות. אך הביא שם מכנסת הגדולה שבמקום שנהוג שהנכרים קונים זה מזה בכסף, ה”ה לנכרי הקונה מישראל. והוא משו”ת הרשב”א המיוחסות לרמב”ן סי’ רכה.
