As Young Shluchim gathered in Crown Heights for the Kinus Tzeirei Hashluchim, a parallel virtual track took place with Young Shluchim tuning in from all around the world for three days of fun, inspiration and connection.
The virtual track of the Kinus Tzeirei Hashluchim initially began as a response to Covid. Over the past few years, it has become a pivotal part of the Kinus programming as a vital way to ensure each and every Young Shliach can experience the connection, friendship and Chassidishkeit the program provides.
Before the Kinus, a box arrived at each Young Shliach’s doorstep complete with a Yarmulka, T-shirt, learning booklets, brand new Shlichus to Ride game and everything needed for the programs and activities, giving each child the full Kinus experience shipped right to their door.
Over the weekend, the boys enjoyed a packed program getting to know counselors and bunkmates, playing interactive games and gaining inspiration through a live Ohel rally and Farbrengens.
“My son is still singing all the songs with a Chayus and wore his shirt and Yarmulke to school,” wrote Shlucha Mrs. Rochel Leah Engel. “The impact of the virtual Kinus was very, very special!”
Culminating the incredible experience, the boys tuned in live to the grand banquet, joining their fellow Young Shluchim in person. Throughout the event, they were seen live on the main screen, participating, dancing and waving their Kinus flags.
“It was so beautiful to see the Young Shluchim from around the world fully interacting and enjoying the banquet,” shared director Rabbi Mendel Azimov. “The spirit of true Achdus with both in person and virtual tracks joining together was felt in the room throughout the evening.”
Special thanks to the team of the virtual program led by Mendel Greenberg, Mendel Susskind and Shaya Spalter.
The Kinus Tzeirei Hashluchim is a project of the Shluchim Office.
