As news broke of the horrific events that unfolded in southern Israel on Simchas Torah, members of the Beit Halevi community in Vienna, Austria knew that had to take action.

As news broke of the horrific events that unfolded in southern Israel on Simchas Torah, members of the Beit Halevi community in Vienna, Austria knew that had to take action.
Each community member decided to take action and to ‘enlist’ in the army and the war effort in an area where they can. Many hachlotos were taken to add in Torah and mitzvos.
Additionally, entire families also took upon themselves to strengthen Torah and mitzvot observance. Community members committed to hours of study in with chavrusas and classes.
On Shabbos, rabbi of the Beit Halevi community, Rabbi Israel Nathanalov, spoke strongly about how everyone should be unafraid and display their Jewish pride publicly.
“Sitting here in Shul and making good and new friends makes the local Jews walk with Jewish pride wherever they go,” one community member said.
