A gathering of Kavod LaTorah and reflection will mark the shloshim since the passing of beloved Toronto Rosh Yeshiva Rabbi Akiva Wagner a”h.
“It’s hard to believe that it’s almost 1 month. והחי יתן אל לבו. Let’s come together to get chizzuk. Be inspired and take to heart the lessons that Rabbi Wagner has left us with,” organizers said.
The event will reflect on the avodas Hashem of Rabbi Wagner, his hasmada in learning Torah, his dedication to his students, and the chassidishe chinuch he imparted to them.
Speakers will include Rabbi Mordechai Tzvi Ochs, Rav of Khal Toras Emes, Rabbi Chaim Michoel Brodsky, Rosh Yeshivas Yeshiva Gedolah Zichron Shmayahu, Rabbi Leibel Ceitlin, menahel of Yeshivas Lubavitch Toronto, Rabbi Shmaryahu Labkovsky, and family members of Rabbi Wagner.
Recorded divrei hisorerus from Rabbi Wagner will be shown, and a special video presentation of memories and lessons from talmidim.
The event will take place at the Khal Toras Emes Shul in Toronto, at 1 Viewmont Ave. The women’s section will be open for women.
A live stream will be hosted on Anash.org for the benefit of Rabbi Wagner’s many students and others who are not in Toronto.
