Toronto Bochurim Celebrate Siyum on Volume of Shulchan Aruch

After studying four pages of the Alter Rebbe’s Shulchan Aruch each day since the start of the year, Shiur Gimmel celebrated the completion of Chelek Daled of Shulchan Aruch with a grand Siyum.

Starting from the beginning of the Elul Zman, Shiur Gimmel Mesivta of Lubavitch Toronto has been learning four pages of Chelek Daled of the Alter Rebbe’s Shulchan Aruch every single day. Along with the learning, they’ve been filling in questions on every seif. Chelek Daled includes Hilchois Yom Tov, Rosh Hashanah, Yom Kippur, Sukkah and Lulav, some of the most enjoyable halachos in Shulchan Aruch.

After about 5 months, Shiur Gimmel as a class finished the entire Chelek Daled.

The conclusion was celebrated with a grand siyum complete with a beautiful seudah, and accompanied by divrei Torah said by some of the bachurim.

Hatamim Yisroel Moss spoke about Hilchos Lulav while finishing off the last Halacha, explaining the pnimiyus’dike reason why the bracha is said on the lulav.

Hatamim Eli Bronstein spoke about Hilchos Rosh Hashana, explaining what it means when we say “to confuse the Satan”.

Hatamim Leibel Zaltzman spoke about Hilchois Yom Tov explaining the limud from the possuk b’etzem hayom hazeh.”

Hatamim Shneur Zalman Gurary also spoke about Hilchois Yom Tov explaining the heter of mileches oichel nefesh.

The seudah was emceed by hatamim Reuvain Halevi Libman, who added so much to the celebration.

The seudah was followed by a short farbrengen with mashpia Rabbi Yosef Leib Vechter.

The event was graciously sponsored leilui nishmas Chavah Bas Moreh by her son R’ Michoel Csillag.

“The siyum has added much excitement and koch in learning the Alter Rebbe’s Shulchan Aruch,” the organizers told Anash.org. “may it continue adding until the coming of Moshiach, bimheirah beyameinu amen!”
