A gathering marking the shloshim since the passing of R’ Eliyahu Botvinnikov will be held tonight, Wednesday, in Crown Heights.

R’ Eliyahu was a longtime resident of Crown Heights, and more recently of Seagate, NY. His childhood in Samarkand brought him in contact with many Chabad chassidim, and after leaving the Soviet Union, he became close to Yiddishkeit and Chabad. After living in California and Florida, he moved to Crown Heights and later Seagate, NY, where he worked in laser therapy and Hamaspik.

Friends and family remember him as one who was always able to find and bring out the best qualities of everybody he met. He was very connected with the Rebbe’s Torah and mivtzoim spreading it whenever he had the chance. The chinuch of his children was always his top priority. He passed away on Tuesday, 24 Teves, 5783.

The shloshim will be held tonight, Wednesday 24 Shevat – February 15, starting 8:00 PM with ma’ariv.

It will be held at the Merkaz Avrechim Shul at 466 Albany Avenue – downstairs.

The entire Crown Heights community is invited.
