The Rebbe Maharash said “while singing the song of the Alter Rebbe… it is an auspicious time on high, and chassidim know what a time of eis ratzon means.”

“I found him (the Rashab) in a very uplifted mood, he said to me with great joy: ‘Gut Yomtov to us, today is the birthday of our two great luminaries, the birthday of the Baal Shem Tov, and the birthday of the Alter Rebbe.”
