Tishrei Housing Complex to Serve Hundreds of Shluchim

The large housing complex at the corner of Carroll Street and Troy Avenue, which was used with great success this past Tishrei to host hundreds of bochurim from Chabad yeshivos in Eretz Yisroel, will now be used to accommodate hundreds of the shluchim arriving for the upcoming Kinus HaShluchim.

The spacious property, owned by Reb Avremel Lokshin, was generously made available for the project. The Tishrei complex was arranged and managed by philanthropist and askan Reb Meir Kabakov, who took full responsibility for all logistics, construction, and supplies – from securing beds and mattresses to coordinating electricity, safety systems, and amenities – ensuring that the hundreds of guests who spent Tishrei in Crown Heights were housed comfortably and respectfully.

Following Tishrei, the site was handed over for use by the Vaad HaKinus, headed by Rabbi Mendy Kotlarsky of Merkos L’Inyonei Chinuch, as part of a joint collaboration with Reb Meir Kabakov.

“We are very grateful to Reb Avremel Lokshin for so generously offering his property for the benefit of the Rebbe’s guests”, Kabakov told Anash.org. “After successfully hosting the bochurim during Tishrei, we are happy to hand the site over to the Kinus team, who will now take care of the arrangements and return of all the rented equipment after the kinnus.”

The logistics for the Kinus housing are being overseen by Rabbi Shneur Najar, who is coordinating the preparation of the site for the arriving shluchim and will later supervise the full restoration and return of the equipment and infrastructure once the Kinus concludes.

The complex includes dozens of modern modular housing units, each air-conditioned and fully outfitted to provide comfortable and organized accommodations. Every unit contains new, sturdy beds with high-quality mattresses, solid wood wardrobes, and fresh bedding, along with lighting, heating, and cooling systems.

Entry to the campus is limited to registered guests, and security personnel and police patrols will be stationed near the site throughout the Kinus weekend to ensure safety for all participants.
