As the OYYL campaign was launched, the founders received a unbelievable response from the rebbe, wishing them success and guaranteeing the supporters “Hashem will surely surely fulfill his promise tenfold, you will become rich”
Throughout the journey of the Oholei Yosef Yitzchok Lubavitch school in Crown Heights, from the founding to the dinner, the Rebbe’s answers have given them strength and direction.
The founders recall their journey from a small daycare center to a growing school, interspersed with brachos from the Rebbe and a gigantic leap of faith.
During the Dinner, one of the Founders of OYYL Rabbi Mottel Schneiderman shared an inspiring story of divine guidance. When they asked the Rebbe for a blessing to hold the Gala Dinner on Vov Kislev – the day that forever united the Rebbe with his Chasidim through his engagement to the Frierdiker Rebbe’s daughter – they opened a letter in the Rebbe’s Igros (Vol 10, page 15) addressed to Oholei Yosef Yitzchok Lubavitch of Morocco, wishing them success in their fundraising endeavor—a clear affirmation for the path ahead.
Below is a free translation of the letter:
“Of what you write about the fundraising effort of Harav Hachossid Ben Tzion Shem Tov, for the benefit of Oholei Yosef Yitzchok Lubavitch School of Morroco, which is under my Nesius.
“This is good and true, and one certainly should extend and publicize the great need there is. And in the matters of Torah and Mitzvos and even more so in the field of Chinuch Al Taharas Hakodesh. because of the low standard of living there [Moroco], every donation, even a small one there is an even bigger impact, and even though thousands of Jewish boys and girls are already learning in Oholei Yosef Yitzchok Lubavitch, every dollar that is donated adds to how many boys and girls can attend the above mentioned Yeshivos, and even if the situation is not taken into account, it is clear that the miracle that the donors receive. Hashem will surely fulfill his promise tenfold, and you will become rich.
