Chilling. Heart-stirring. Watch and share.
Tomorrow, tens of thousands of Chabad Chassidim around the world will mark 22 Shevat, the yahrzeit of the righteous Rebbetzin Chaya Mushka, of blessed memory, the Rebbe’s wife.
In honor of this special date, the Or Chaya Center produced a deeply moving film that reveals, for the first time, the profound bond between the Rebbe and the Rebbetzin—a connection whose true depth became fully apparent only in retrospect, following her passing.
The film features rare and powerful statements from the Rebbe, expressing the immense pain he endured after 22 Shevat 5748 (1988).
The story of that day, and the period that followed, shows how every Chassid was affected by the Rebbe’s personal mourning as Nasi HaDor. It also reveals how the Rebbe summoned extraordinary inner strength to rise above the pain and channel it into unprecedented action—strengthening Torah and Judaism on a global scale, and especially advancing the Rebbetzin’s lifelong mission of empowering Jewish women.
Watch. Be moved. And share.
Fulfill the Rebbe’s personal request for the yahrzeit of his wife.
On the Rebbetzin’s yahrzeit, the Rebbe requested that chassidim add in charitable giving to institutions established in her name, in the numerical value of her name, 470. The Rebbe assured that the Rebbetzin from on high would daven for upon all who partner in her life’s work so they should be blessed with children, life, and abundant livelihood. Partner with Or Chaya, the world center for the Jewish woman that proudly bears her name, and receive brachos from on high by honoring and paying tribute to the Rebbetzin. >> 22shvat.org
