A new Mivtzoyim initiative will make it possible for regular Crown Heights families to participate in mivtzoim in a practical, organized, and dignified way. Starting with Chanukah, prepared Menorahs kits, donuts and organized lists are prepared for you to go on Mivtzoyim.
Building on the success of Chabad in Sheepshead Bay, which has achieved great success in orchestrating mivtzoim for many during major Yomim Tovim and bringing the Yom Tov experience to thousands of Yidden, we are excited to announce a new initiative aimed at enabling Crown Heights families to become the Rebbe’s Shluchim – ambassadors of light. This effort seeks to illuminate the darkness and bring the joy of Yomim Tovim to those Yidden who, unfortunately, were not brought up with it.
As the Rebbe Rashab explained, the true definition of a Chossid is a “לאמטערנשטיק” – a lamplighter, someone who seeks to kindle the fire of other Yidden’s neshamos. In that spirit, we are proud to introduce a new organization called Lamternshtick.
The goal of Lamternshtick is to make it possible for regular Crown Heights families to participate in mivtzoim in a practical, organized, and dignified way. You can set aside the time and manage family logistics, and we will handle the rest. From menorahs to donuts, to providing organized lists of Yidden who might not have the same Chanukah experience without your participation, we make it easy for you to spread light and warmth.
Set aside one night to share the light with your family and bring joy to those who need it most!
