Tanya Printed in Texas in Memory of Illustrious Mashpiim

A new Tanya printed in Texas was dedicated to the memory of two renowned mashpi’im who taught Tanya and other works of Chassidus to thousands throughout their lives.

Over the last weeks, Merkos Shlichus bochurim Eli Superstein and Moshe Adelist spent their time traveling the Rio Grande valley in Texas, and bringing Yiddishkeit to Yidden scattered around the state.

Last week, the two bochurim printed a new edition of Tanya in South Padre Island, a beachy oasis on the southern tip of the state. The new Tanya, which was overseen and sponsored by local Shluchim Rabbi Asher and Dina Hecht and family, and sponsored by the Mizrachi and Turgeman families of South Padre Island, was printed within the week of Shiva for Reb Yoel Kahn and was dedicated to his memory. It was also dedicated in memory of Reb Pinye Korf, mashpia in Tomchei Temimim 770, who passed away in recent weeks.

Following the printing, the bochurim gave multiple Tanya lessons for members of the Jewish community at the local Shul.

In 5742, the Rebbe called for the Tanya to be printed every place where Yidden live. Since then, over 7,000 editions of the Tanya have been printed in thousands of locations across the globe.
