Amidst lockdowns, rising cases of Covid-19 and further restrictions, Sydney’s Shul distributed packages of love to front line workers.

The current lockdown, which has been in enforcement for two consecutive months has had its toll on members of the community. In an effort to show the generosity and warmth of the Jewish community, Rabbi Chaim Levy of Sydney’s Shul has distributed hot meals, sweets and cold drinks packaged by OBK to the front line workers.

The front line workers have been most appreciative of this kind gesture and felt the warm of the community pushing them along in these trying times.

“As 400 cases were confirmed yesterday in Australia, it has been hard to miss the huge efforts and presence of the front line workers,” Rabbi Levy said. “It’s been a community effort working together and each of us doing our part.”

“We owe a debt of gratitude to the police officers, multiple testing stations, and drive-through testing that are taking place on the streets of Sydney. The front line workers are working hard to keep us safe and hopefully get us back to normal as soon as possible,” he said.
