The bochurim on the New Haven Zal gathered on Thursday night for a farbrengen marking Rosh Chodesh Kislev, the day the Rebbe returned home after recovering from a heart attack in 5738.

Beginning with menahel Rabbi Chanoch Bistritzky and mashpi’im Rabbi Yitzchok Einstein and Rabbi Moshe Winner, the farbrengen was enhanced by the arrival of a surprise guest: Rabbi Shmaya Krinsky, director of Machane Yisroel Development Fund. Rabbi Krinsky traveled to New Haven to celebrate his son’s birthday, and seeing a farbrengen going on, he sat down and began farbrenging with the bochurim, continuing on for many hours.
