Rabbi Levi Duchman, newly appointed shliach to the UAE, has begun a weekly shiur in halacha for Sefardim.

Rabbi Levi Duchman, the newly appointed shliach to Dubai, has been teaching Torah in the UAE for five years already, but established relations with Israel are now allowing Jews to step out from the shadows, and shiurim can be held in a more official and open format.
A new weekly Torah class has thus been initiated by Rabbi Duchman, teaching halacha from Harav Yitzchak Yosef‘s sefer Yalkut Yosef. The sefer is an authoritative work based on rulings of the author’s father Harav Ovadia Yosef AH and was written to give practical halachic guidance to Sefardi and Mizrachi Jews.
During the class, Rabbi Duchman invited Harav Yosef to visit the UAE as a guest of honor, expressing his hope that it will take place soon.
The shiur was attended by community members and guests who came especially from Israel, including ZAKA chairman Yehuda Meshi Zahav and R. Ephraim Kamisser, a Lubavitcher travel agent.
