Harav Sholom Pollack is a long-time member of the Beis Din in New Square, NY. He is the author of the seforim Mishnas Sholom on Shulchan Aruch. He also has been a long-time chavrusah (study partner) for Rav Avrohom Yitzchok Wolfson, son of the mashgiach Harav Moshe Wolfson, rov of K’hal Emunas Yisroel in Monsey, and a great Talmid Chochom himself. They have learned together for many years, and over the last decade, they have delved into the Torah of Harav Levi Yitzchok, z”l, the Rebbe’s father.

Despite their expertise and scholastic level, it’s been a struggle for them; such is the depth of Rav Levi Yitzchok’s Torah. Recently, with the addition of the set of Yalkut Levi Yitzchok, the going has gotten easier for them. Harav Pollack was so grateful to the editors and publishers of the set that have “unlocked the mysteries” of Harav Levi Yitzchok’s Torah that he sat down and penned this letter filled with admiration and thanks.

“I’d like to voice my appreciation to the editors of Kehos Publications and especially Rabbi Dovid Dubov for the remarkable work they do in editing the seforim Yalkut Levi Yitzchok on Chumash. I have a chavrusa learning schedule daily for many years with my friend Rabbi Avrohom Wolfson and we enjoy the learning immensely and feel the taste of Gan Eden when learning it. Rabbi Dubov has done a wonderful job bringing the footnotes of all of the Arizal’s Torah, as well as the Torah of the Chabad Rabbeyim. Every difficult concept is explained beautifully…

“May we speedily see the resurrection of the dead, including the holy author of the seforim who gave his life for the strengthening and spreading of Yiddishkeit…

It should be noted that Harav Wolfson is traveling to Alma Ata to be at the tziyun of Harav Levi Yitzchok on the Yom Hahilulah.
