A group of shluchim who service Yidden who are hospitalized in medical institutions across Eretz Yisroel gathered for a Hakhel Kinus in New York.
The shluchim all operate under the ‘Lev Chabad’ organization, which provides physical, emotional, and spiritual care for patients and their families in Israel’s hospitals. Whether it’s a personal visit, Friday night Kiddush, or accompanying a patient and his family through the final hours in this world, this group of shluchim accompany the patients through the difficult period of hospitalization and beyond.
26 of these shluchim traveled to New York this past weekend for a Hakhel Kinus, to rejuvenate and be inspired, allowing them to come back with new strengths to continue their holy work.
On Friday, upon their arrival from Eretz Yisroel, the shluchim headed straight to the Rebbe’s Ohel, where they davened for themselves, their families and the success of their shlichus. Later in the day they posed for a group photo in front of 770, and then joined a farbrengen in the home of Rabbi Moshe Kotlarsky, Vice Chairman of Merkos L’Inyonei Chinuch. They also had a chance to daven in the Rebbe’s home on President St. and received a quick tour of the kitchen and dining areas in the house.
They then prepared for Shabbos, which they spent learning, davening, and farbrenging in 770.
