This past Motzei Shabbos, English speaking Talmidim Hashluchim gathered for a hakhel event in Tzemach Tzedek shul, in the Old City of Yerushalayim.

On those same streets where kohanim once walked, blowing trumpets and gathering Am Yisrael to Hakhel, these bochurim who have dedicated this year to shlichus, came together to meet up, farbreng, and take strength for their avodas hakodesh.

In participation were over 25 bochurim, who are shluchim in the Yeshivas of Tel Aviv, Beit Shemesh, Toras Emes, Mayanot, and Kfar Chabad – Ohr Tmimim.

Rabbi Yitzchak Kauffman, Mashpia in Mayanot, joined the group and led a spirited farbrengen.

“We knew that a Kinus of Talmidim Hashluchim was something very much encouraged by the Rebbe”, explained the organizers of the event. “It was a beautiful experience for all who attended, and we really felt the spirit of Hakhel, and walked away with a commitment to continue and add in activities of Hakhel.”
