Shlomo (André) Sitbon, an internationally renowned drummer and member of the Chabad community in Paris, France, passed away on Wednesday, 27 Tammuz 5781.
He was 72 years old and bravely fought a long illness.
Shlomo was a talented musician and accompanied many world famous celebrities on the drums. He performed at concerts with Jewish music stars Avraham Fried and Mordechai Ben David, and brought joy to many community events, such as bar mitzvahs, weddings and melave malkas.
However, Shlomo was mainly known for his big heart, kindness and humility, and as one who never had anything negative to say about anyone.
After he was diagnosed, his doctors only expected him to live 4 months longer. He continued fighting and lived for another 3 years.
Shlomo is survived by his 5 children.
