As Purim approaches, the Crown Heights community is abuzz with anticipation. Amidst the costumes, parties, and the delightful aroma of hamantaschen, one mitzvah stands out: the reading of the Megillah. This year, Shechuna and Anash are teaming up to ensure that every resident has easy access and knowledge of Megillah readings throughout the neighborhood.

Shechuna App, a newly-launched digital guide to Crown Heights, and community website Anash.org have joined forces. Together, we aim to enhance the Purim experience for all, whether they attend a Shul or prefer a more intimate home setting.

Shechuna has crafted an interactive and user-friendly map that pinpoints the locations of Megillah readings across Crown Heights. Whether you’re a longtime resident or a visitor, this map will guide you to the nearest and next reading. Simply visit Shechuna App’s Megillah Map to explore the listings as they come out.

To make this initiative a success, we need your assistance! If you know of any public Megillah readings happening this Purim—whether in a Shul or someone’s living room—please share the details with us. Every reading matters, and your contribution will help fellow community members fulfill this cherished mitzvah.

Here’s how you can contribute:

  1. Submit Megillah Reading Information with the following details:

Purim Night/Day and Time: Let us know when the reading will take place.

Address: Let us know where the reading is taking place.

Additional Information about the Keriah: Share any other details about the reading that might be important for people to know.

  1. How to reach us:

As we prepare to celebrate Purim, let’s come together as a community. Shechuna App and Anash.org invite you to be part of this collaborative effort. By sharing information about Megillah readings, you contribute to the Simcha and Achdus that define our Crown Heights family.

A Freilichen Purim!
