SGP Staff Record Summer’s Motivational Theme Song

Listen: This year’s winning color war theme song at SGP – Chayolei Hamelech was such a hit that camp staff decided to record it and share it with the world.

On Yud Shevat 5711, the Rebbe rolled out the mission for Dor Hashvi’i – to bring Moshiach Tzidkainu. To bring to completion all the work that has been done since the world was created, what a Zechus!

With this great Zechus comes together with tremendous responsibility, and it is important to fully appreciate both, the great Zechus and the tremendous responsibility. Once we understand what Zechus we have, it gives us enthusiasm in what we do.

However, we cannot rely solely on that because throughout our Avodah we may hit tough times and our enthusiasm may begin to fade. That is when our appreciation for how great the responsibility is, comes to our aid.

When we know we have a responsibility, then it doesn’t matter if we feel in the mood or not, THE JOB MUST GET DONE, the Rebbe said we must do all we can to bring Moshiach.

These two points were brought out by two teams, Zechus and Achrayus, Color War this past summer in SGP – Chayolei Hamelech.

The song for team Achrayus titled “We Will Pull Through” was such a hit they decided to share it with the world.

The song begins with a young Bochur looking at the picture of the Rebbe feeling in despair after being faced with so many challenges in his life, he wonders why does it have to be so hard, he doesn’t have any enjoyment in what he does, his heart is telling him to just give up.

But then he remembers, that he has a responsibility to get the job done, it’s up to him. So he turns to the Rebbe and says:
Even though it’s tough and at times it looks impossible, if the Rebbe gave us this task then we know for certain we will pull through.

WE WILL PULL THROUGH

Stanza 1:
As he lies in bed looking at the Rebbe
His heart fills
With feelings of despair
As he wonders why life just comes so hard.

His passion his desire to continue
Trying to improve
In acting like a Chossid should
Feeling helpless he turns to the Rebbes face and says

Chorus:
The job we have is tough
The mission for me comes rough
I lack the chayus the Geshmak in all I do
Oy yoy yoy yoy
But Rebbe I will do
Its my Achrayus to pull through
To bring the Geulah – Moshiach Tzidkeinu

As Chassidim we must know
Our Rebbe told us so
“Tut altz vus ir kent” to bring Moshiach now
Ay yay yay yay
So Rebbe we will do
Its our Achrayus we will pull through
To bring the Geulah – Moshiach Tzidkeinu

Stanza 2:
As I lie in bed looking at the Rebbe
The mission clear
Embedded in my mind
I’m ready now no matter what it takes
