Following plans for ‘kevutza’ bochurim to quarantine in Pennsylvania before traveling to Crown Heights, a second option in Queens is being explored.

‘Kevutza’ bochurim will be heading to Crown Heights this Elul, as reported on Anash.org, following a two-week quarantine in Pennsylvania and medical exam.

The group’s bochurim plan to arrive around Rosh Chodesh Elul, ensuring that they will be in Crown Heights by Rosh Hashana.

As second option is also being opened for bochurim to complete their quarantine in Queens, near the Ohel, with students arriving from Israel by the middle of Elul. Although this plan is supported by Kfar Chabad Yeshiva Hanhola, it has yet to receive complete approval.

Before leaving Israel, all students will be tested for COVID-19 and will remain in isolation until their flights. Only those who test negative will be permitted to fly. Bochurim who already caught the virus and recovered will be required to show proof, and will not need to quarantine upon arrival in the USA.

Needless to say, all students have been advised to purchase adequate health insurance.
