Record Pesach Distribution Held in Crown Heights
In what was described as the largest Pesach food distribution Crown Heights has ever seen, Chamah’s Pre-Pesach Kimcha D’Pischa event brought a nonstop stream of cars to Bais Rivkah, where hundreds of boxes and cases of produce were distributed to families preparing for Yom Tov.
A massive Pre-Pesach Kimcha D’Pischa food distribution organized by Chamah took place on Thursday, in the parking lot of Bais Rivkah at 435 Montgomery St., drawing what was described as the largest Pesach food distribution Crown Heights has ever had.
Cars streamed in nonstop in two lanes from 2:30 PM through 6:30 PM, as volunteers worked steadily to distribute food to the many families who came to prepare for Yom Tov.
A total of 600 boxes of assorted goods were given out. In addition, each car was offered a case of produce, including apples, pears, oranges, bananas, and potatoes.
The large-scale operation ensured that families were able to receive substantial food packages ahead of Pesach in an orderly and efficient manner.
Special thanks to Met Council and Bais Rivkah for their help in making the distribution possible.
