After a year with few guests, the gabboyim of the main shul at 770 Eastern Parkway are preparing for host guests in numbers not seen in over two decades.

To allow the shul to accommodate the huge crowds, a 80 ton air condition unit was rented by the shul at the cost of $20,000. The unit, coordinated by R’ Shmuli Shuchat, will supplement the powerful air condition system in 770 and keep the air flowing even with the packed crowd of thousands.

In addition, a number of refrigerated trucks are parked outside 770, packed with wine, challahs, fish, meat, salads and refreshments for a kiddush on the night of Shemini Atzeres and a grand kiddush on Simchas Torah night and day. The kiddush, arranged by R’ Nochum Markowitz, provides a Yom Tov meal to the thousands of visitors and locals as they return from tahalucha and begin hakafos.

To assist in keeping an order during the coming days, the gabboyim published the exact schedule of the Yom Tov, along with the details of hakafos and the niggunim that will be sung. The schedule and details can be found below.
