Rebbetzin Golda Aronow, who together with her husband Reb Menachem Mendel Hakohen Aronow, was one the founding members of the Chabad community in Toronto, passed away on Shabbos.
Rebbetzin Golda Aronow, wife of Reb Menachem Mendel Hakohen Aronow sheyichye, passed away on Shabbos, Yud Tes Iyar.
She was 89 years old.
Rebbetzin Aronow was born on Tzom Gedalia 1931, to Reb Chaim and Esther Rochel Minkowitz of Nevel, and was taught from an early age how to have hachnosas orchim even to the point of mesiras nefesh.
In 1951 Rebbetzin Aronow and her husband moved to Toronto, Canada and were from the founding members of the Chabad Lubavitch community of Toronto. For decades her home was where bochurim and anash would come and farbreng, and was the address of choice for many visiting shadarim and meshulochim.
She is survived by her husband Reb Menachem Mendel hakohen Aronow and their children; Mrs. Brina Langsam, Crown Heights; Mrs. Brocha Wilhelm, Toronto CA; Rabbi Yosef Aronow, Kfar Chabad, Eretz Yisroel; Mrs. Esther Rochel Moscowitz, Chicago, IL; Rabbi Zelik Aronow, Florida; Mrs. Shternie Notik, Chicago, IL; as well as many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren.
She is also survived by her sister Mrs. Riva Teleshevsky of Crown Heights.
The Levaya will take place iyh tomorrow, Monday, 9:45 AM at Shomrei Hadas, 10:45 AM. at 770.
The family will be sitting shiva at the Langsam residence 648 Lefferts Ave.
The family request no visitors between 1:00PM and 3:00 PM. And after 10:00 PM
