R’ Berel Raskin served as a fishmonger in Crown Heights for decades, with his store becoming a icon in the community. His small store eventually grew into a world-renowned company, but he remained the same R’ Berke, serving his customers from his shop on Kingston Avenue.

The writing of the final letters took place at at 395 Crown Street, followed by a parade with joyous dancing to Aguda Shul, where hakafos and joyous dancing continued for hours.
