Rabbi Yitzchok Mendelson, the legendary dorm counselor of Yeshiva Tomchei Tmimim Lubavitch in Lod passed away on Sunday, 29 Sivan, 5783.

Rabbi Yitzchok Mendelson, the legendary dorm counselor of Yeshiva Tomchei Tmimim Lubavitch in Lod passed away on Sunday, 29 Sivan, 5783.

He was 95 years old.

Rabbi Mendelson served as the head dorm counselor and an administrator of the Chabad Yeshiva in Lod. He was known for his heartfelt smile and care for the welfare of each individual bochur.

In 5775, he retired after over 65 years in his position which he served with utmost dedication and commitment. He was beloved by generations of students who saw him as a father figure.

The levaya was held today in his hometown of Lod with burial on Har Hamenuchos in Yerushalayim.

He is survived by his children R’ Yossi Mendelson – Lod; R’ Yaakov Mendelson – Bnei Brak; R’ Dovber Mendelson – Kfar Chabad; R’ Zalman Mendelson – Vienna; Mrs. Chaya Feigenson – Texas; Mrs. Fruma Rivkin – Kfar Chabad; Mrs. Nechama Margolis – Lod, and Malka Mendelson – Lod.
