Rabbi Yanky (Yaakov Aharon) Korf, a resident of Crown Heights, passed away on Sunday night, 19 Nissan, 5780.
He was 62.
He was the son of Reb Gedalya Korf, a”h, who recently passed away.
He fought the Corona virus valiantly for several weeks but ultimately succumbed to it.
He is survived by his wife Batya (nee’ Roitblatt) and children, Chanie Zirkind, Menachem Korf and Zalman Korf.
He is also survived by his siblings, Rabbi Yossi Korf – Crown Heights, Mrs. Sara Kessler – Montreal, Rabbi Sholom Ber Korf – Delray Beach, FL; Mrs. Dini Ciment – Boynton Beach, FL; and Rabbi Alter Korf – S. Petersburg, FL.
The levaya will take place Monday afternoon, passing 770 at 1:30, and at 1:35 pm passing by 672 Lefferts Avenue (Lefferts Avenue shul) and then continuing to his home at 736 Lefferts Ave.
