Rabbi Wolberg Inspires at Lincoln Place Shul

A large crowd of Crown Heights Anash together with many guests filled the Lincoln Place Shul and Beis Hamedrash on Wednesday night for a special seuda and farbrengen marking Yud and Yud-Alef Shevat, the hilula of the Frierdiker Rebbe, and 76 years since the Rebbe began the nesius.
The program opened with Maariv, followed by a lavish seudas mitzvah and grand farbrengen, catered by Mendy’s Catering.
Guest speaker Rabbi Yaakov Moshe Wolberg, longtime Maggid Shiur at Oholei Torah in New York and later at Yeshiva Lubavitch Manchester, shared heartfelt divrei hisorerus drawn from his years in chinuch and shlichus.
Now serving as a Rosh Yeshiva in Kfar Chabad, Rabbi Wolberg focused on the Rebbe’s maamarim, especially Basi Legani, explaining how the world is called the Aibishter’s “garden,” a place where the Shechinah originally dwelled, before being pushed away through yeridos and then brought back through the avodah of tzaddikim, culminating in our generation through the Rebbe.
He stressed that our purpose in this world is to reveal the deepest truth of existence. “The truth is that the Aibishter is the only existence,” he said. “We are here to bring this truth into ourselves and into every act of ours. That’s our objective of life.”
Rabbi Wolberg also spoke about achdus Yisroel and how a Rebbe unites individuals without erasing their uniqueness, allowing many people to act and sing as one. He explained that the words “I am a Yid” represent the highest standard of living.
He reminded the crowd that the goal of a farbrengen is internalization: “The main thing of a farbrengen is to incorporate and make what we already know become part of our lives.”
