Dr. Zvi Shkedi, a scientist from Pittsburgh, PA, and patriarch of a large Lubavitch family, passed away on Yom Kippur morning after an illness.
Dr. Shkedi wrote extensively on the subject of creation, criticizing how public schools push the narrative of evolution. He also patented a number of inventions, among them the דיו לנצח, a long-lasting ink used by many sofrim worldwide.
He is survived by his wife Sara Chana Shkedi and children: Ariel Shkedi – Pittsburgh, PA, Michal Rimler – Monsey, NY, Lior Shkedi – Pittsburgh, PA, Yael Cozokaru – Montreal, Quebec, Eliran Shkedi – Pittsburgh, PA, Chaya Rochel Shkedi – Monsey, NY, Esther Aidel Rose – Wales, UK, Chaim Shaul Shkedi – Crown Heights, Bracha Shaindle Shkedi – Pittsburgh, PA, and grandchildren.
