R’ Ramy Zion, a beloved father and longtime member of the Crown Heights community, passed away suddenly on Sunday, 15 Teves, 5782.
He was 58 years old and passed away suddenly after suffering a heart attack.
In the 70s, Ramy lived in Canarsie, and it was there he became acquainted with Chabad Shluchim, who brought him closer to Torah and Mitzvos.
Later he moved to Crown Heights, where he built a beautiful family, and was known for having a warm heart and an enthusiasm for learning Torah.
He is survived by his wife, Lillian, and their children Natalie Lucki – Florida; Devorah Leah Cohen – New Jersey; Shlomo Zion, Menachem Mendel Zion, and Yosef Chaim Zion.
The levaya will be held on Monday at 7:00 PM in front of 770, continuing on to Eretz Yisroel, where the kevura will be held.
I know Rami and his family for 30 years. When I began my teshuva, he was always warm and supportive. He attended my simchas with joy and happiness.
