Listen: Ba’al Menagen Rabbi Menachem Amar released a remake of the classic Chabad tune known as Reb Chonye Morozov’s niggun.
The newly remade niggun was presented by the ‘Gaaguim’ Chabad Nigunim channel. The niggun, named “Niggun for Shabbos and Yom Tov” is Niggun 89 in Sefer Niggunim, and was a favorite of the renowned chossid Reb Chonye Morozov.
Reb Chonye Morozov (1878-1938) served as the secretary of the Rebbe Rashab and Frierdiker Rebbe and ran the underground Chabad educational network in Soviet Russia.
Reb Chonye merited that the Rashab Rebbe personally taught him the Ten Nigunim of the Alter Rebbe. And in the Sefer Nigunim, some of the Alter Rebbe’s niggunim appear as sung by R’ Chonye.
